Michele CaldirolaMichele Caldirola - Senior Pattern Designer - Calvin Klein Menswear

"I have worked with several pattern software solutions, and I am now facing the '3D' approach along with Gerber Technology as an evolution from our '2D' way of creating patterns. And yes, it is a challenge and our new frontier at C.K., yet we are moving forward every single day."

Fashion for me has always been something related to craftsmanship and technical knowledge, that is why after completing my studies at Instiuto Secoli in Milan in 2011, I have decided to become a pattern designer specialized in Menswear. Ermenegildo Zegna, Hugo Boss, and Acne Studios are some of the brands I had the privilege to work for before joining Calvin Klein in 2018 (and with that the PVH group) asthe senior pattern designer in a particularly exciting moment for the brand. Traveling across Europe gave me the opportunity to get in touch with new ways of working (at a human level and the digital level!) and experience different market needs and brand philosophies. I have worked with several pattern software solutions (Lectra, Assyst, and now Gerber), and I am now facing the 3D approach as an evolution from our '2D' way of creating patterns. Digitalization is our new frontier and is the challenge we are working on every single day! www.calvinklein.com / www.pvh.com
