TexDel, Delivering Medications Through Garments

TexDelCONOVER, NORTH CAROLINA (USA) — How can you get people to take their medications? "What if it were as easy as just putting on a sock or T-shirt? That is the pain point we're solving."

So says Jordan Schindler, CEO of Conover-based startup TexDel.

Backed by $2.2 million raised to date, TexDel says its technology enables the delivery of medications and more through garments.

"TexDel owns the technology to deliver controlled doses of active ingredients (vitamin, supplement, medication) through a garment, and have it remain machine washable up to the lifespan of the garment," Schindler says.

TexDel says it has a "smart-textile platform."

"TexDel has developed a proprietary smart-textile platform that delivers active ingredients to and through the skin; for dermal and transdermal benefit," TexDel says.

"Our platform supports most fabrics including cotton, nylon, and polyester and is compatible with modern-day garment manufacturing."

The company is now trying to license its technology.
